Bronwyn Hetaraka

Deputy Principal
Born and raised in the very far north of Aotearoa in the rohe of Te Aupōuri, I still consider myself a country bumpkin although Māngere has been home for my whānau and I for over 30 years. A child of the 70’s with a rural upbringing was a perfect partnership for a carefree childhood that was filled with climbing trees, riding my pastel green Raleigh twenty bike around the streets of Kaitaia or out to Ahipara beach. Playing outside with our neighbours until the sun went down or our parents called us is some of the cherished memories of my childhood.
