ALERT LEVEL 2 PROTOCOLS – MARCH 2021
WYMONDLEY ROAD SCHOOL
Under Alert Level 2, schools are OPEN for instruction. We look forward to welcoming ALL of our tamariki back onsite tomorrow.
We have the following protocols in place until further notice:
DROP-OFF & PICK-UP
Whānau can drop students off at the main gate or the ECE gate where there will be staff members to greet them. Students should arrive between 8.00am-8.30am. From 8.30am only the front pedestrian gate will be open and students will need to come through the office gate. Please be ON TIME for drop off and pick-ups.
RESTRICTED ACCESS TO SCHOOL GROUNDS
We would appreciate that no parents/caregivers/whānau come on to the school grounds unless by appointment, therefore for clarity, no adults can go into the classrooms.
PHYSICAL DISTANCING
Physical distancing in schools remains important particularly when people are interacting. We are following the Ministry of Health guidelines for schools in this matter and are working to ensure there is distancing between students while in class and where possible, in the playground.
HYGIENE AND CLEANING
When entering and leaving the classrooms and before and after breaks children will all have to use the hand sanitiser provided in each room. Children will have their own pens, pencils and books. Soap and paper/hand towels will, as usual, be available in bathrooms.
Cleaners will complete daily cleans in line with MOH guidelines.
ABSENTEES
If your child is not returning to school tomorrow please email your classroom teacher, or alternatively you can call the school office on Freephone 0800 121 458. Where your child is absent for more than 2 days, you will need to provide a medical certificate. Anyone who is unwell should stay at home until two days after symptoms have gone away.
We have the appropriate health protocols in place including contact tracing, hand sanitizer, physical distancing and cleaning routines. We encourage all students to bring their own filled water bottle as the water fountains will be closed. It is optional for our students to wear facemasks. Once again, there will be no lunches delivered to classes, so please ensure that your child has a packed lunch, we can provide lunch where necessary.
If you have any questions or concerns please contact your child’s classroom teacher or one of our leaders:
