The aim of the programme is for the school to work alongside our parents and children to continue their learning at home.
Teachers and children at Wymondley create a fun evening from 6pm – 7pm by providing Literacy and Numeracy activities, effective learning programmes and resource packs that have been established in the classrooms.
Parents are encouraged to LEAD and continue the learning with their child at home.
LP6’s underlying purpose is to ensure productive partnerships are nurtured through a greater responsiveness and accountability to learners and their families.
The main objectives of the programme are to:
- Continue developing successful learning pathways for whanau and their child.
- Continue the learning partnership between the community and school.
- Continue the learning for both parents and children in their homes.
“Strong engagement and contribution from students and those who are best placed to support them – parents, families and communities, have a strong influence on students’ success.”
