Service to Lead

To grow leadership at student level. To identify students that show potential to lead independently across different situations. To lead through service within our school, community and outside normal areas of experiences for our children. Growing confidence and the ability to adapt to new situations to further enhance their leadership qualities. Striving towards excellence through example, work ethic, commitment and a genuine caring standard.

Hiva Fakatava - Head Boy

To be HEAD BOY it takes a lot of courage to serve my school and team of leaders and always put others before myself. To always stay on task and never give up. I enjoy representing my school as a leader and also as the head student. I enjoy the challenges that I have achieved so far.

To be HEAD GIRL working alongside Hiva is hardwork and a lot of commitment for myself, peers and school. To serve other people by helping each other. Showing teamwork by never leaving anybody behind. Visiting special events and meeting other leaders that inspire me.

To me to lead through service means to put others before myself. Being a good role model through showing and demonstrating to the junior children the school values. Show teamwork by working hard and leading the team and the school.

For me to lead through service means to set an example for others to follow through implementing the school values. Listen and respect our teachers. Represent our school with pride and show sportsmanship and play fair.

It is a great opportunity because we get to go onto exciting adventures like Project WY, we get to meet new people and learn about how we can give back to our community. I can explore new places that I have never been before. Being a good role model.

For me service means to achieve bigger goals but also to be humble. Working as a team and helping those who are struggling. Give 100% towards their learning and encouraging others to focus on their work. It is all about serving others first before yourself.
