Covid 19 – Monday 23 August Update

  • Categories Events, News, Uncategorized
  • Date August 23, 2021

Kia ora tātou e te whānau,

New Zealand will stay in alert level 4 lockdown until at least midnight on Friday, and Auckland will stay locked down until at least midnight on Tuesday 31st August 2021 therefore Wymondley Road School will remain closed until further notice.

WE HAVE BEEN HERE BEFORE

I want to encourage whānau to keep vigilant with the Covid restrictions at level 4. We will only be able to rid our country of the virus if we follow the rules. You are doing a great job so far! Remember that if you feel unwell, get tested!

SCHOOL IS CLOSED

We remind parents that school remains CLOSED while we are in Alert Level 4 and until further notice.  ALL local playgrounds remain closed.

HARD COPY LEARNING MATERIALS

Classroom teachers will notify parents when staff are able to enter the school to organise hard copy learning materials. In the meantime, remote and online learning is accessible through our regular sources of Seesaw and Google Classroom, as well as the online tools we have available for our tamariki to use (as listed below).

REMOTE LEARNING

All students have remote learning accessible to them. For any concerns, issues or questions do not hesitate to email your child’s class teacher or

IMPORTANT HEALTH LINKS

Here is the MoH link for latest information https://www.health.govt.nz/our-work/diseases-and-conditions/covid-19-novel-coronavirus/covid-19-novel-coronavirus-health-advice-general-public#prevention

Here is a link to Auckland Regional Public Health Service (ARPHS) with available COVID-19 testing centres nearby: https://www.arphs.health.nz/public-health-topics/covid-19/where-to-get-tested/ https://www.healthpoint.co.nz/community-health-services/community-health/capital-coast-dhb-covid-19-community-testing/

Testing is so important in preventing an outbreak.  If you have cold or flu symptoms you should call your doctor or Healthline on 0800 358 5453 for advice about getting tested. If recommended to get tested, you should do so.  Stay within your personal bubble. At Alert Level 4 people must stay home and keep within their immediate household bubble.

FACE COVERING REQUIREMENTS

It is now mandatory to wear a face covering when visiting essential businesses and services that are open in Alert Level 4 (e.g. pharmacy, supermarket, health services). It is also a requirement for staff to wear a face covering. Children under 12 are not required to wear a face covering.

LOCATIONS OF INTEREST

Please keep checking the list on the Ministry of Health website for locations of interest.

If you have been at a location of interest within the relevant time periods, please follow all public health advice. Call Healthline for information about getting a test. Only leave home for essential purposes.  DO NOT go anywhere else if you have been for a Covid test.

Stay safe whanau, be extra cautious and scan in wherever you visit.

Many blessings to you all. Look after each other. STAY SAFE. BE KIND,

Take care whānau, we will be in constant contact with you. Please don’t hesitate to contact us.
